A FASTER EMULATOR FOR TMS320C3x DSP

Moorpark, CA – September 1, 2000 – Today Signum Systems announced new, faster drivers for the JDSnet-3x emulator to support the Texas Instruments TMS320C3x family of Digital Signal Processors.

The new drivers for the TMS320C3x family allow the Code Composer and Chameleon debuggers to download files 1.5 to 2.3 times faster than the competing ISA-card based emulators.

JDSnet-3x uses the MPSD debug port for accurate breakpoint control and for accessing any on-chip registers and memory. The emulator offers a fast and powerful debugging tool-set for the TMS320C30, 31 and 32 DSPs.

JDSnet-3x is equipped with a parallel port to connect to any desktop, notebook or workstation PC in standard or EPP mode. A separate cable is dedicated for the MPSD debug port which allows access to the on-chip registers, breakpoints and internal or external memory.

JDSnet-3x may be bundled with Signum Systems’ Multi-Core Chameleon Debugger™ or with Texas Instruments’ Code Composer™.

Chameleon Debugger™ is a Multi-Core debugger that supports homogeneous and heterogeneous devices with one or multi-ICE environment on one debug screen. The Chameleon Debugger supports all major C compilers (including Texas Instruments) at the source level with the latest advanced software debugging and analysis features.
