IN-CIRCUIT EMULATION POD SUPPORTS PHILIPS 80C575, 83C575 AND
87C575
Moorpark, Calif.
August 28, 1996 Signum Systems, a leading manufacturer of embedded system
development tools has released an emulation pod for Philips Semiconductors 80C575,
83C575 and 87C575 microcontrollers. The POD-X575 plug-on device in combination with
Signums USP-51 series in-circuit emulators provides completely transparent
emulation at clock speeds up to 16MHz. POD-X575 uses Philips-licensed bondout
chip technology to emulate both ROM-ed and ROM-less parts. DIL, PLCC and QFP
connections to the target boards are available.
USP-51 in-circuit emulators support numerous derivatives of the 8051
microcontroller family. All emulators are equipped with complex breakpoint logic,
including event counters and sequencers. They also feature a 32K sample deep, 80 bit wide
real time trace buffer with time stamp and 128K RAM.
USP-51 works with Signums IceFrame source-level debugger
running under Windows 3.1, Windows 95 an Windows NT. It supports all major C-51 and
PL/M-51 compilers with the latest advanced software debugging and verification tools such
as variable Quick Watch, Pass-points, Performance Analysis, Coverage Analysis, and
Register Breakpoints. IceFrame supports remote debugging via IP-compatible networks.
Remote debugging allows an IceFrame session to be accessed over the network using a
standard telnet client for co-debugging and customer support.
Prices of USP-51 start at $1,999.00, the price of POD-X575 is
$995.00.
