SIGNUM SYSTEMS INTEGRATES WITH KEIL µVISION® IDE
Keil MDK-ARM now compatible with Signum’s JTAGjet™-ARM
emulator
Moorpark, CA. – July 10, 2006 – Signum Systems Corporation today
announced a new debugging environment for users of their JTAGjet-ARM
emulators. Addressing the growing need for full featured, Integrated Debug
Environment, JTAGjet-ARM is now compatible with Keil’s RealView®
Microcontroller Development Kit (MDK-ARM) and the popular μVision3®
debugger.
The RealView Microcontroller Development Kit for ARM (MDK-ARM)
shortens development cycles by reducing time spent configuring, testing, and
debugging embedded applications incorporating ARM® microcontrollers. The
RealView MDK combines the ARM RealView C/C++ compilation tools with the Keil
µVision Integrated Development Environment (IDE), providing developers with
a feature-rich environment optimized for ARM Powered® microcontrollers.
The Keil µVision IDE includes project management, device configuration tools,
source code editor optimized for embedded systems, target debugging, flash
Programming and accurate device simulation of the ARM core and its
peripherals. For experienced users, µVision includes new features, such as
source outlining, function navigation, editor templates, incremental search,
configuration wizards, logic analyzer view, CAN and I2C simulation, and
debugging via the JTAG port.
Together with Signum’s USB 2.0 JTAGjet-ARM
emulator the MDK-ARM delivers shorter downloads, faster flash programming,
adjustable JTAG clock rates up to 30 MHz, self-adjusting voltage level on
JTAG signals, built-in JTAG diagnostics, scan chain detection and many other
advanced features useful in bringing-up brand new hardware, firmware, RTOS
kernels and other embedded applications.
The wide range of IDEs with which
the JTAGjet emulator is fully compatible had been impressive even before the
µVision interface was added. The new solution further expands JTAGjet’s
capabilities and flexibility and is bound to appeal to new developers which
need a high-end emulator with the genuine ARM RealView compilation tools, as
well as to existing Keil customers who will not need to learn yet another
debugger environment in order to use a more powerful emulator.
JTAGjet
emulator with an interface for Keil RealView MDK-ARM is available now for
$1,200.
JTAGjet bundle price with Keil MDK-ARM tools is priced at $4,995.
Existing JTAGjet-ARM and Keil customers may purchase the JTAGjet interface
driver only for $250.
