20% DISCOUNT ON Z8 IN-CIRCUIT EMULATORS

Moorpark, CA – June 4, 2001 – Signum Systems announced today a special summer savings limited time offer for their entire line of Zilog Z8 emulators.

From now till August 31, 2001 the offer provides a 20% discount on any USP-Z8 or USP-Z8-33 emulator and any Z8 probe (pod) when purchased together as a set. Signum Systems covers nearly all Z8 processors with an extensive set of pods and target board adapters.

Designed for Seagate, the emulator is packed with debugging features to satisfy the most demanding, real-time applications. Since stopping the CPU in a spinning hard drive is rather destructive (the head goes out of control), the emulator enables the user to perform most of the debugging functions without stopping the CPU. With the built-in 128K of dual-ported memory, all memory inspections and editing can be done while the CPU is running, without stopping or slowing down the application.

The emulator's trace buffer, time stamp, unlimited hardware breakpoints, three complex events, two pass counters, trace filtering logic, eight-level event sequencer and other sophisticated debug features do not let even the hardest to find bugs slip through. The unit even allows the target board to be switched on and off during execution for a true emulation of power on/off sequences, a necessary and frequent task in hard disk drive firmware design.

In essence, if you need a reliable, dependable and easy to use emulator with a Windows debugger, please don’t miss the special savings this summer. The offer ends August 31, 2001.
