SIGNUM SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES DEVELOPMENT & DEBUG TOOLS FOR INTEL XScale
JTAGjet-XScale Suite Supports XScale PXA255 and PXA270
Moorpark, CA. – April 3, 2006 – Signum Systems, a 26 year old debug and emulation tool company, today announced development and debugging support for processors based on the Intel® XScale™ microarchitecture. Signum initially will provide support for the Intel PXA255 and PXA270 application processors with plans to support the XScale I/O processors (IOP) and network processors (IXP) later this year.
Coinciding with a new release of Eclipse IDE and Chameleon Debugger™, the company’s flagship debugging software, Signum Systems’XScale software development and hardware-assisted debugging solution is integrated with its JTAGjet™ emulators. The USB 2.0 based integrated H/W and S/W toolset already supports many other devices including ARM7, ARM9, TriCore, XC16x and TMS320 DSPs and now provides natural, non-intrusive method to quickly locate and fix bugs in the XScale powered embedded software or firmware.
Chameleon Debugger™ was designed specifically to support embedded processors by providing easy to use, time saving features needed in bringing-up new hardware, peripheral drivers, applications, board support packages (BSP) or porting RTOSes to new architecture.
